Like politics … entrepreneurship is local.
Our job at FranNet Carolina has always been to promote the power of entrepreneurship. And, from the looks of things, we appear to be doing a pretty good job. The growth of our company and the growth of the number of clients we put into business is a testament to that. Much of our success stems from our client centric process that includes a proprietary personal franchise /business ownership assessment and a face to face consultation, all offered at no cost. But I think there is something more….we work primarily with local Carolina clients while many of our competitors are working over the phone with out of state clients. What this means is that “we live with our clients and their success after we help put them into business.” My first client owns a franchise that sits literally a quarter mile from my office. I placed him 20 years ago! So, we have a real interest in our clients’ success.
Our assessment is great but like all assessments, the data we gather can provide just so much information. When we meet our clients face to face, look them in the eye and discuss and understand more about what their needs really are regarding business ownership, we have a better chance of helping them be successful. We can’t do that if they live outside the area.
And, speaking of success, we measure ours. The results speak for themselves. We surveyed nearly 1,300 franchisee placements that FranNet made between 2006 and 2010, years which defined some of the country’s worst economic conditions in 70 years. Of those placements, 92 percent were in business after two years, compared to 64 percent of other small businesses. Additionally, 85 percent were still in business after five years, compared to about 50 percent of other small businesses. Read more about our process and our success…….
